For those who are not aware what ant farms are, it is an artificial nest for ants that your kids and even you can observe. As the ants dig tunnels and chambers and as they interact with one another, parents can educate their kids on what cooperation and responsibility is all about. Ant farms have been around and for many years, they were able to teach kids different things. They are made of wood or glass but today, it has taken a leap and there are the three dimensional ant farms that are beautiful. Building ant farms is considered to be the quietest activity that kids could ever have at home.

Last Sunday, I was in the music store near our place to look for an electric guitar as my birthday present for my son during his coming birthday. My son really loves music and he wanted to be the greatest lead guitarist someday. As I was in the music store near our place particularly choosing for the best electric guitar, I noticed a wide variety of electric guitars for sale for a very low price which had a very vibrant color designs. It was the best guitars at the best prices they offered I had ever known which encourages me buy for a new one for my son during his birthday. It would really surprise my son during his upcoming birthday.

One early morning, I was in the neighborhood shopping mall wandering around and window shopping. As I passed by on the kid’s section area, I observed a vast selection of hard plastic kiddie pools that was displayed on the windows and was sold for a discounted price. It was a new arrival items and it was sold for a promotional sale. It had caught my attention and was astounded on the price they had offered for those items. Since my son loves to play in the water, it was a very perfect moment to buy him for a new plastic kiddie pool. I went inside the kid’s section store and bought a plastic kiddie pool for my son.

One early morning, I was visiting to a nearby district shopping mall to have a window shopping. As I was wandering inside the shopping mall, I noticed a childrens play equipment displayed in the heart of the shopping mall. It was very wonderful mini-playground suited for the children aged 5 to 8. Since I have a kid too, I was very interest on buying one of those playing equipment to set up in my backyard for my son to play with. I was very interest on the swing that looks very durable and enjoyable for kids, since my son love to play in the swing. I went to the lady attendant and had inquired for the playing equipment.

It can be very difficult and challenging to teach children to read, especially if you don’t have any experience with teaching and more importantly teaching children. I have taught kids from different age groups for many years and although I have never had to teach children to read written words, I have had to teach children to read music, both drum notation and melodic music such as vocal songs, percussion marches, drum set pieces, and full band rock, jazz, latin, or funk songs. Many kids want to just jump right into playing music, but there is a lot more to it than just listening to songs you like on the radio or on cd or vinyl. Although listening is a huge and very important part of music it is crucial that kids also learn to read from a young age. This way the patterns of thinking get into their heads when they are little and able to learn faster, making it easier as an adult to recall these skills and use them without having to think about them with the part of the brain that works on real time thought.
An important thing to remember if you have to teach children to read is to keep it fun. Kids won’t do anything they don’t think is fun in the first place and actually give it one hundred percent effort. They don’t realize how easy it is for them to pick up new skills, but as a teacher I know that it really isn’t that hard to teach children to read. Maybe you can tie in something they really like from outside a lesson, like their pets, their favorite songs, their friends, or their parents. The same principles apply whether you have to teach children to read music or teach children to read written words. Both are important skills to have and both skills can be taught in the same way.
