What Is Hip hop Doing?

Through the years hip hop has developed into more of a business than a culture. Hip hop, nowadays is a big business with cable channels, magazines, clothing line and corporate owned record labels and plenty of people are earning lots of money.Released back in the 70′s by DJ Kool Herc, hip hop was appreciated by thousands as a replacement to the mainstream disco and pop music heard on the radio. Nowadays, sadly, raps are filled with violent download loops and greasy talk.Unfortunately, hip hop has also claimed lives over the years, with the death of various famous rap artists in gang related shootings.Even though hip hop is still heard throughout the world today, compared to when it burst onto the scene thirty years ago, hip hop has done nothing to uplift the culture and the communities it represents.
